Book #16 — Beginner’s Greek by James Collins
I read this book about two people who meet on an airplane and then their lives are entangled The first half was promising. Then it got bad. I don’t know why writers enjoy writing humorless people. Maybe they spend a lot of time with assholes? The language was very fussy. And really not a bit of dialogue sounded like it came from an actual human’s mouth. Stop being so precious, writers! If I read another detailed idyllic, languid description of a female character making tea or drinking tea I’m gonna hurl your book out the window.

Oh Sheet Music! It’s Hip-Hop Transcriptions To Many Rap Classics (via @egotripland)
“Approximate transcriptions of great hip-hop passages made with pen, graph paper, and a ruler.”
That’s the description from music enthusiast Charlie Hely hanging up top on his Hip-Hop Transcriptions Tumblr. Hely specializes in converting the sounds of many well-known rap songs into sheet music for the musically-inclined to get on down with. But even if you can’t read tablature, it’s got a nice aesthetic to it, don’t cha think?
