In my neverending epic battle with Final Draft and trying to cut my scripts down to an accetable length*, I just finally learned that the program will let you keep a word followed by a dash on a line even when it won’t allow it with a period. In other words:
The sentence: I will sell all my old stuff next week.
-will come out as-
I will sell all my old stuff next
week.
